Double E Resort is located in Springstead Wisconsin. Springstead is located between Park Falls and Mercer and is an excellent vacation choice for those who just want to relax and enjoy the great outdoors or take advantage of the superior hunting and fishing available in the area.  Don't miss out on our great winter activities too.

You can also a enjoy a quiet and peaceful vacation after Labor Day.  The pace of youthful vacationers has slowed, nature is at its colorful best, fishing is excellent, and the air is clear and refreshing.

Double E Resort is located on Boot Lake; a 180 acre lake and Ess lake; a 55 acre lake.  Fishing is excellent year round.  Trophy size musky, walleye, northern pike and panfish are abundant.  We have our own private boat launch for our customers use. Also Boot Lake does not have a public boat launch. We are a short 3 mile drive to the Turtle Flambeau Flowage's Springstead boat landing.  Springtead Landing is newly improved and has a gradual cement launch with parking.  The Turtle Flambeau Flowage in a 19,000 acre body of water in which only 2% is privately owned and developed.  The Turtle Flambeau Flowage offers excellent Walleye, Muskie, Northern Pike, Crappie and Smallmouth bass fishing.

New for 2004  We purchased property on Ess Lake and will have boat and motor rentals available for our customers that stay at the Double E Resort. Ess lake does not have a public access and is a great little lake for Bluegill, Crappie and Bass. 

We are near the Chequamagon National Forest with many woodland trails, offering excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and bird watching thru some of the most beautiful forests in northern Wisconsin.

• Water ski shows, golf courses, Indian Pow-Wows, and Horseback riding can all be reached in 30 to 60 minutes.
• Excellent wining & dining facilities within a close driving distance.
• We are only 3 miles from the famous Flambeau Flowage and if you wish to fish there, we will help you find a guide.
• The resort is located less than 3 miles from the Trading Post where you can purchase gas, groceries, licenses, bait and tackle.
• Lake of the Torches Casino is only 22 miles and several casinos are within easy driving distance.
